Moving Your Body Everyday Gives Results
Movement is essential in your Chronic Pain Management. Start with modest, daily movement and astretching plan, increase the intensity of your exercises slowly as your stamina improves. Expect increased pain if you increase the demands on your body too rapidly. Movement is required to pump your lymphatic fluid through your body so that the space around your cells can be cleansed. Movement improves the hormones that affect your mood, helps your muscles be toned and flexible, and is required for normal joint and connective tissue function. Attention to appropriate movement improves your overall health, increases your energy, and often decreases pain. Northwest Chronic Pain Management treats chronic pain patients with prescription medication but also prescribes an augmented natural treatment program that helps patients increase daily activity.

Avoid Toxic Situations
Take an inventory of your physical and emotional environment. Avoid the foods, chemicals, people, activities, etc. that you notice are consistently associated with increased pain. Practice healthful dietary practices which include daily consumption of 2 to 3 liters of water, 10 servings of fresh or steamed vegetables, 2 to 3 servings of fresh fruit, and essential fatty acids. Discuss with your physician the specific dietary choices that are optimal for your individual nutrient requirements. Manage Your Pain Rather than Allowing it to Manage You.
One-third of Americans experience intermittent or persistent chronic pain. When you feel anxious or depressed, you are not alone. There are peer support groups, numerous resources for information and inspiration, and most important, there are many ways you can manage your pain rather than allowing it to manage you.
Reach out, allow others to help you. Share what you have learned with others who, like you, are looking for ways to live a full life in which chronic pain is a factor that does not control their future.

NW Chronic Pain offers Services that work with Patients...
Our pain management program is designed to provide excellent health care that is affordable and can be adapted to your specific circumstances. When your treatment plan includes the use of prescription medication including but not limited to opioids and the daily use of NSAIDs, your health status must be assessed on a monthly basis.
Typically, we can combine office visits with our physician and telephone physician consultations to provide personal care that adequately monitors your health status and is completely compliant with federal and state guidelines. We are readily available to our established patients to answer questions and address general health concerns as well as pain-related problems.
